Children aged 0-19 years:

One full eye examination every year plus minor exams for emergencies such as eye infections; eye injuries, eye turns, headaches etc.

Adults aged 20-64:

Patients with diabetes, cataracts, retinal disease, strabismus (turned eye), amblyopia (lazy eye), glaucoma, corneal disease or visual field loss are covered for an eye examination once per year with follow-up visits as deemed necessary by the optometrist. In some cases, a medical referral from your family doctor may be required.

• Many Ontario insurance companies have added eye examinations to their coverage so please check your policy before coming in for your visit.

Seniors (65): One full eye examination every year plus minor exams for emergencies such as eye infections; eye injuries, eye turns, headaches etc.

In case of emergency during our business hours, please call us and leave a message if necessary. Our staff is trained in recognizing symptoms requiring immediate attention and we make every effort to fit emergencies into our daily schedule. In case of after hours emergency, please proceed to your nearest emergency room immediately.
